Menopause care — personalized, evidence-based treatment

Hot flashes, poor sleep, mood changes, vaginal dryness?

We can help you feel your best if you are:

  • A women age 40–65
  • Experiencing symptoms or perimenopause or menopause
  • Within 7 years of your last period if postmenopausal
  • Low cardiovascular and cancer risk
We recommend in person care if you have:
  • Personal history of breast, ovarian, or endometrial cancer
  • First-degree relative with breast, ovarian, or endometrial cancer
  • Uncontrolled high blood pressure
  • Uncontrolled high cholesterol
  • History of blood clots, stroke, or coronary artery disease

Our Approach — Care that actually

We provide personalized treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs, goals, and health profile. We start with the lowest effective dose to minimize side effects while helping you feel your best and live fully. Every woman responds to hormone therapy differently, and there is no single “perfect” dose for everyone. Because hormone levels fluctuate naturally throughout the day, lab values often do not reflect how you actually feel. For this reason, we emphasize treating based on your overall health, symptom relief, and wellness — not chasing numbers that fluctuate.

Hormone therapy is the most effective treatment for moderate to severe vasomotor symptoms. For healthy women in early menopause, benefits typically outweigh risks when properly screened.

Hormone levels naturally fluctuate throughout the day, especially during perimenopause. Because of this, routine hormone blood testing is often not helpful. We treat based on your symptoms, safety profile, and evidence-based guidelines — not arbitrary lab numbers.

Before you start, please have:

  • Photo identification showing name and date of birth
  • Recent blood pressure (within 3 months)
  • Current mammogram (within 12 months)
  • Recent cholesterol results if diagnosed with high cholesterol
Does hormone therapy actually work?

Yes. Hormone therapy is the most effective treatment for moderate to severe hot flashes and related symptoms.

For healthy women early in menopause, benefits generally outweigh risks when properly screened.

🚫 Please do not submit your visit without required screening documentation. Visits submitted without accurate information are not eligible for refund.

Benefits & Risks

Benefits of Hormone Therapy
  • Reduction or elimination of hot flashes
  • Improved sleep
  • Improved vaginal comfort
  • Bone density support
Possible Side Effects
  • Breast tenderness
  • Breakthrough bleeding (early months)
  • Headache
  • Small increased clot/stroke risk in higher-risk individuals

Risk depends on age, timing since menopause, route of administration, and individual health profile.

Important: If You Have a Uterus

If you still have your uterus and are taking estrogen, you must also take progesterone (or use a progesterone-releasing IUD) to protect the uterine lining. Estrogen alone can stimulate the lining of the uterus and, over time, increase the risk of endometrial hyperplasia (overgrowth of the lining) and uterine cancer. Do NOT stop progesterone while taking estrogen unless specifically directed by your provider. Progesterone is an essential part of safe hormone therapy for women with an intact uterus.

  • You agree to continue routine in-person preventive care, including mammograms, blood pressure monitoring, and appropriate lab work.

You understand that treatment decisions are based on clinical guidelines, symptom response, and safety screening — not hormone level testing alone.

You agree to seek urgent medical care for chest pain, severe headache, vision changes, shortness of breath, or leg swelling.

Hormone therapy is prescribed only when medically appropriate. Continued therapy requires adherence to recommended preventive screenings.
